Founded in 1996, SRS has worked tirelessly to become a premiere high precision CNC Machine shop delivering mission-critical products for the world's top aerospace, defense, medical, agriculture, automotive and many other Tier-1 customers and Tier-2 suppliers. SRS specializes in two internal divisions. Division 1 specializing in Prototype. Division 2 specializing in production quantity work. In its dynamic history, SRS has evolved to become a manufacturing powerhouse located in Metro Detroit. SRS is recognized for its innovative approach to precision machining with a “whatever it takes” attitude and determination to manufacture the most complex CNC Machined items. SRS invested heavily in equipment to back it up with over 40 CNC Machines specializing in CNC Turning, Milling, Grinding, EDM, and much more. SRS operates in a fully renovated temperature controlled 20,000 sq ft plant with 25ft ceilings and Multiple overhead cranes. Additional internal services include, 3D Printing, Laser Etch or Engrave, Paint & Powder Coat, Sand Blast, Light Assemble, CAD design & draft blueprints. CNC & AUTOMATION MANUFACTURING

SRS combines a wide variety of equipment sizes and capabilities from 2, 3, 4, & 5 axis CNC Lathes, Mills, Grinders and EDM’s with cutting-edge technology. Equipment as advanced as multiple barfed Turn/Mill LIVE tooling dual spindle CNC Lathes to multiple FULL 5th axis milling machine centers and mills with pallet pools. The most advanced CAD / MASTERCAM seats with posts ranging as complex as MASTERCAM Blade expert and Autocad Inventor for blueprint drafting from CAD. SRS’s equipment gives the edge to be specialists in both PROTOTYPE & PRODUCTION qty work.

QUALITY CONTROL

It’s simple and we stand by it, SRS has one of the nicest quality labs in the country. Period. With over 1 million invested in the quality lab within the last 2 years we have a temperature controlled quality lab with the best of the best. Multiple Zeiss CMM’s operating Calypso software, Faro Arm, Mitutoyo Optical Comparator, multiple Tessa electric height gages, Fulcrum manual CMM with many calibrated electric height gages and indicating micrometers on the floor, much more! All Inspection equipment is calibrated on a mandatory schedule along with employee owned tooling. Documented calibration of all inspection tooling as well as thread inspection with shadow graph and actual GO-NOGO thread gages. We have 4+ full time inspectors on both day and afternoon shift that check every piece 100% first piece inspection. Our innovative equipment allows SRS to handle First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR), PPAP LEVEL 1 thru 3. EVERY line item will be first piece 100% inspected, every 30 piece in-process 100% inspected, start of shift 100% inspected, post outside process inspected, 100% final inspection and a final 100% visual inspection before final shipment. SRS understands and lives by the belief quality is the only way to make it in this trade.

EXPERIENCE

Our highly trained staff has hundreds of years of combined experience. If SRS is to manufacture from customer supplied blueprints or CAD and we see potential errors in the design or specifications that appear to be out of place, we will bring this to your attention BEFORE machining. If your company has their own product, we often suggest cost savings methods or options to make improve the customers cost savings: These suggestions can range from Material types, rockwell, or simple understanding the parts fit, form, and function. SRS was built on building others around us. We are here to help!

PAPERWORK & TRACEABILITY

SRS is highly trained and understands the requirements of clean and clear paperwork. When your project requires certification that requires DFARS, Domestic, NADCAP, Mandatory specs, CofC and additional documentation. It is a high priority to study your print, specs, flag notes, etc to ensure you’re parts traceability meets your industry requirement. While gathering paperwork for each process SRS tracks live status with our Custom designed ERP System built specifically for SRS.
